The Resolution statements in the Courageous movie are based upon the highest priorities for men in God’s Word. Each statement describes a commitment you should resolve to live by as the leader of your home. Each of them is a call to action, and living by them will ultimately help you stand before God one day and hear him say, “WELL DONE!”

Resolution for Men:

I do solemnly resolve before God to take full responsibility for myself, my wife, and my children.

I WILL love them, protect them, serve them, and teach them the Word of God as the spiritual leader of my home.
I WILL be faithful to my wife, to love and honor her, and be willing to lay down my life for her as Jesus Christ did for me.
I WILL bless my children and teach them to love God with all of their hearts, all of their minds, and all of their strength.
I WILL train them to honor authority and live responsibly.
I WILL confront evil, pursue justice, and love mercy.
I WILL pray for others and treat them with kindness, respect, and compassion.
I WILL work diligently to provide for the needs of my family.
I WILL forgive those who have wronged me and reconcile with those I have wronged.
I WILL learn from my mistakes, repent of my sins, and walk with integrity as a man answerable to God.
I WILL seek to honor God, obey His Word, and do His will.
I WILL courageously work with the strength God provides to fulfill this resolution for the rest of my life and for His glory.

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. (Joshua 24:15)


Tough Question: Where do we go from 2012

What do we OWN together?

What are we funding together?

What can we pull from our networks for resources?

In crisis how will we help each other?

With all of our degrees and nice homes and cars do we really have economic power?

How will we combat environmental racism?

What are we doing in the area of Agriculture?

What is the cumulative amount of our debt?

How much oil do we own?

How much Gold do we collectively have in our possessions?

What are we collectively building?

How many schools do we own and totally control the curriculum that the students are learning from?

How much financial literacy do we have?

Who is in charge of our long term health plan?

Where are the jobs? Where are they going? How long do we search for them before becoming business minded?

Lacking Self Confidence

By

If you lack self-confidence, you may across as prideful, conceited, or arrogant. Or you may behave in ways that are just the opposite. Your lack of self-confidence may come out as:
apprehension (fearing change),
resentment (despising people who have more than you do),
depression (believing things won’t get better),
passivity (failing to take initiative). or
insecurity (needing constant reassurance from others).

Are you being open to new ideas? (Don’t bulldoze your ideas over others)
What am I missing?
Are you asking great questions? (You are only as good as the questions you are asking)
How can I make my team better?
What’s happening now in life for you?
What are you excited about?
What’s taking you to a whole new level?
What are you currently learning? (Where did you learn it. Who taught it)
Leaders must be clear consistent and repetitive.

Change
Be coachable
Don’t take criticism personal. Learn from it and move forward
Just because it worked once doesn’t mean it will work again
Best is the enemy of Better
Just for today smile more and help others
All meaningful change comes from within
You can’t help what you don’t know

If your actions inspire others you are a LEADER
Success requires a soft inside, a hard shell, and the ability to stick your neck out
